What
Counts
In Lorraine
Hansberry ‘ s play A raisin in the Sun, Walter Lee claims that Willy Harris
sure taught [him] to put his eye on what counts in this world. Walter dream is
to make money all ways even if he has to
treat people wrong. He arrives at this conclusion after Willy takes the
family’s insurance money and run. For a brief moment, Walter decides that money
is more important than dignity. However, once he looks in the eyes of his
little boy, Travis, he realizes that money has to take second place to
self-respect. Like Walter, my personal experiences have influenced me to
realize that faith, family, and work truly matter in life.
The most important
thing I want to do is first high school. Most of my family never finshed high
school. It’ll be the first out of my brother and sister. Baneatha had plans after
school she want to be a doctor. Most people in my family did not even make it
to college. Some of my family got there g-e-d and went to collage that is why
hard work pays off do what people got to
do then be done with it.
Hard work beats
talent when talent do not work hard.
People have to put there mind to it to do something they want to do. Walter had
a chance to do something with that money but he put it in the wrong hands.
Walter and Banetha want to be something but their not working hard enough to
get we’re they want to be.
Most times family
are there for each other if there is something wrong. If I were to have a
problem my mom or dad would work something out to help me. One thing about
family they should stick together. Mama gave Walter money she said put some in
the bank and keep the rest and the Walter put the money in the wrong hand but
Mama still trusted him. Family always be there for them through thick and thin.
When a person work hard it should make things easy for them.
most people want to be successful and do things right.
